Frequently Asked Questions | IPG

FAQs

How do I book my paintball event?

Go to www.ipgpaintball.no or alternatively call 800 16 216

IPG Paintball accepts payments made via Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. Once your booking is made, we will email you confirming your event booking and give you all the information you need to get to the centre.

How far ahead do I need to book?

To avoid disappointment it’s best to book at least two weeks in advance as bookings are subject to availability. Your chosen centre and date may not always be available but you will be offered a list of alternatives to choose from.

How many people do I need to make a booking?

We cater for a number of different group sizes. Please enquire for specific requirements for each centre. Your group may be mixed with other players to make up teams for the day.

Can my group play paintball mid-week?

At most IPG Paintball centres you can play mid-week, provided that the minimum requirements have been met. If the minimum requirements have not been met, unfortunately we aren’t able to open a centre mid-week which you will be notified of at the time of your enquiry. An alternative venue will always be offered.

Do I need to use up all my tickets in one go?

You can use as many tickets as you like and do not have to use all your tickets in one visit so you could potentially go paintballing more than once while the tickets remain valid.

How can I purchase more IPG Paintball tickets?

You can contact your IPG Paintball ticket re-seller to buy more tickets and their contact details should be written on your IPG tickets. If you have not purchased tickets before and do not have a Membership Number then simply go online to purchase more tickets at the RRP of 4750 NOK per booklet of 10 tickets, or visit one of our many registered ticket re-sellers.

What does an IPG Paintball ticket provide?

An IPG Paintball ticket booklet provides up to 10 players entrance and equipment rental for the day at any paintball centres represented by IPG in Norway, Sweden, the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. You and your group will be provided with a full head protection goggle system*, battle armour*, battlepack, combat suit, semi-automatic paintball gun, hopper and unlimited gas propellant refills. (Note: All IPG approved paintball centres have full Public Liability Insurance).

*We cannot guarantee full head protection goggles and body armour at our local paintball centres.

What isn't included in the ticket?

Paintballs, pyrotechnics (flashbangs, smoke & paint grenades) and food and drink are not included in the cost of the IPG Paintball tickets. Lunch can be purchased in advance, snacks and refreshments are available from the shop and tea and coffee is free at most centres.

How much do paintballs cost?

Additional paintballs can be purchased on the day of your event from the local paintball supplier. The price varies depending on the location you book. Please contact an event coordinator for more detailed prices.

How many paintballs will I require?

It’s completely dependent on how trigger-happy you plan on being and there’s no way of knowing exactly how many paintballs an individual will use. You can buy more paintballs at the shop in the basecamp at any time during the day of your event.

Can I pay for my booking on the day?

No, unfortunately. Every IPG Paintball centre has a limited capacity and player numbers need to be confirmed prior to the game day in order to organise equipment, catering arrangements and player teams and marshalling staff.

If someone in my group does not show up on the day can I use their paintballs that I have already paid for?

Sadly not. If any player does not turn up on the day of your event then the prepayment and paintballs for that player will be forfeited. However, at most IPG centres the credits can sometimes be carried forward and used to book a future visit. All payments are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Is there food and drink available at the centre?

Most IPG paintball centres offer a freshly cooked lunch service for an additional charge. Lunch can be pre-ordered when making your booking, depending on which centre you choose for your event. Almost every centre has an on-site shop which sells a selection of refreshments and snacks.

How long does the day last?

The times for each paintball session varies according to the centre you choose to play at. For more details about the times we run paintball events, please contact an event coordinator on 800 16 216.

Is paintball a suitable activity for children?

We advise that parents understand the nature of paintballing and make their own minds up about whether or not paintball might be suitable for their child. To help parents understand the safety precautions our staff undertake to keep participants safe at all times, we have put together an “Information for Parents” guide which can be downloaded from this website. Children as young as 12 have been playing paintball with IPG for years because parents and youth group organisers recognise that our safety standards and practices are second to none.

How old do you have to be to play paintball?

The minimum age to play paintball varies depending on the location you book. At the North Oslo the minimum age is 12 years. At South Oslo the minimum age is 16 years.

Do my children play with adults?

Your children may be joined up with another similarly aged and similarly experienced group wherever possible. However, groups are often made up of mixed ages as some parents like to join in with their kids, older brothers and sisters etc.

What will happen on the day?

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the friendly, professional team of marshalling staff who will lead your group through the registration process. After completing the registration forms, your group will be issued with all the paintballing equipment they will need for the day. Following this there is a compulsory safety briefing which will cover everything you need to know about paintball safety and then the action really starts! You will get to play a range of paintball games over the course of your session. During the event there is an option to take breaks, and most centres offer hot food during the day. Session times vary from centre to centre – for detailed information please speak to an event coordinator.

Do I have to fill out a registration form?

Every customer is required to fill out a registration form before they can play paintball at our national centres. All players under the age of 16 are required to have a Parental Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian; we suggest that these forms are sent out with your invitations. Other parents should return their completed forms to the group organiser for them to bring to the centre on the day of your event. Everyone also has the option to complete their registration forms on the morning of your event.

What should I bring with me?

We recommend that players wear comfortable, old clothing and to bring a change of clothes for the end of the day (personal belongings can be stored in the lockers that can be rent for a small fee). It’s strongly recommended that you wear waterproof boots with ankle support and good grip – it can be muddy in the games. Some customers may choose comfort over safety and wear wellington boots as it can be wet in the woodland. Armoured gloves can be bought from the on-site shop but you are welcome to bring your own. We accept both cash and Pin verified cards for food and extra paintballs.

Am I allowed to bring my own equipment?

Players can bring certain items of their own to paintball centres, but it is always up to the centre manager whether or not you can use it. You can bring goggles but only if they have been manufactured specifically for paintball games and have not been altered in any way. Players are unable to bring their own paintball gun to the centre unless a private game has been arranged and the gun can operate from the gas canisters we provide. The use is solely at the discretion of the Centre Manager, and all guns are subject to a chronograph test before use. We do not allow players to bring their own gas or bottles on site for any reason.

Am I allowed to bring my own paintballs?

In the same way that you can’t bring your own alcohol into a pub, players cannot bring their own paintballs into an IPG paintball centre. Only paintballs sold on-site can be used on the day of the event and players found using their own will be ejected from the centre.

What is the recommended footwear for paintball?

We strongly recommend that players wear sturdy boots with ankle support and good grip as it can get muddy and slippery out in the game zones.

Can I drink alcohol at the centre?

We don’t permit any alcohol use on site. Any players found to be under the influence will be excluded from the games without refund and asked to leave the centre for their own safety.

What about if it rains?

Paintball games go ahead regardless of any inclement weather conditions (except in very extreme circumstances, in which case you will be notified). The games take place outdoors but there are sheltered seating areas in the base camp. In wet weather players may also like to wear a thin layer of waterproof clothing.

The IPG tickets I bought have expired or are about to. Can they still be used?

Please get in contact with IPG Paintball via the ‘Contact Us’ page to discuss your options.

The centre I want to visit is closed/hasn’t opened yet. What should I do?

The locations of paintball centres are subject to change for reasons out of our control so the location map is just a guide. We will always offer you the closest possible alternative venues. IPG Paintball undertakes to maintain a minimum of 10 paintball venues within Europe.

Are IPG tickets refundable?

Every IPG ticket comes with a seven day satisfaction guarantee so if you are not happy with your purchase you can get a refund within seven days of purchasing the tickets. To apply for a refund, simply write to IPG, Aspehaugveien 10B, 0376 Oslo, Norway. Refund requests must be sent via post and please include your full details, vouchers and tickets. Please make sure that you send your refund request with the correct postage to ensure your letter arrives within seven days of purchase. If we do not receive the letter in time, you may not be entitled to a refund. Using a traceable postal service with a tracking number is recommended as you will be responsible for the items until we receive them at our above address.

IPG processes refunds on behalf of independent IPG resellers and refunds incur a 80 NOK admin fee and can take up to 21 working days to process. Please note that once this 7 day refund period has passed, the terms and conditions of the ticket will constitute a legally binding contract and it will not be possible to refund the cost of your tickets. We also reserve the right to return items that have been sent to us outside of the seven day period.

How can I get in contact with IPG?

You can fill out an enquiry form on the 'Contact Us' page and one of our friendly paintball consultants will get in contact and answer any questions you might have. Alternatively you can reach IPG Paintball directly on 800 16 216.
